Vehicle Accident Guide - If you're in an accident, follow the steps below
Ensure Safety: Turn on hazard lights and, if possible, move your vehicle to a safe location to avoid blocking traffic.
Check for Injuries: Assess for injuries and call 111 if needed. Report any injuries to the police within 24 hours.
Report to Police: If there’s a dispute or serious damage, contact the police by dialing 111.
- Gather Witness Details: Ask witnesses for their names and contact information for future reference.
Assess Vehicle Damage: Determine if your vehicle is safe to drive or if you need to call for a tow truck.
Document the Scene: Take photos of the accident and any damage, or sketch the scene if needed.
Choose Your Repairer: You can choose your repair shop, regardless of recommendations. Select a CRA-approved repairer for guaranteed quality and workmanship.
